Liv-Marie Kodurand graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with distinction where she was awarded the Miriam Jenkins Scholarship, the Moir Carnegie Prize, the Homi Kanga Memorial Prize and the Delius Society Prize.
As a soloist and chamber musician Liv-Marie has performed at major international music festivals, notably the Pablo Casals and Soesterberg International Festivals. She has attended the International Musicians Seminar at Prussia Cove, regularly performs as part of the International Young Artists Series at St George’s Bristol and has given centenary concerts for the Elgar Society.
She has performed at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, St Johns Smith Square, Queen Elizabeth Hall and St George’s, Bristol.
Liv-Marie is the Founder and Director of The Florentine Arts Ensemble, combining music and the fine arts, and will be presenting and performing a mini-series on Impressionism at The National Gallery in June 2013. Liv-Marie has performed as a solo artist for Concordia Foundation and is a current Foundation artist with Jan Rautio for 2012/3.
Born in Russia, Jan Rautio is a chamber musician, accompanist and soloist. He has performed across the UK, Europe, Russia and the USA. His highlights include Edinburgh and Brighton Festivals, Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, Bridgewater Hall, Palazzo Borghese, the Yusupov Palace, the Charleston International Piano Series and Steinway Hall in New York.
Together with the Rautio Piano Trio, he has appeared in many renowned venues and festivals across the UK, including St George’s Bristol, London’s St Martin-in-the-fields and the Wigmore Hall. He has given numerous live broadcasts on BBC Radio3.
Jan has a keen interest in period performance and in June 2011 was invited to perform at the English Haydn Festival, where he played with the trio, as well as performing Mozart’s Concerto in C minor on a pianoforte. Jan works as a piano professor for the annual Pontecultura Festival in Vero, France.
