Performers

Spanish soprano Lorena Paz Nieto is currently with Royal Academy Opera, under the tuition of Philip Doghan and Audrey Hyland. She completed the MA Preparatory Opera Programme at the Academy, achieving Distinction and a DipRAM for an outstanding final recital. She graduated with First-class Honours (BMus) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she studied with Katherine Paterson and Lada Valesova.

Australian mezzo-soprano Kate Howden studied at Trinity Laban with Ameral Gunson, the Royal Academy of Music with Elizabeth Ritchie and Jonathan Papp, and the National Opera Studio, London. She currently studies privately with Susan Roberts. In 2017 Kate will sing Carlotta in Salieri’s La scuola de’gelosi with Bampton Classical Opera. She will again perform extracts of Monteverdi’s Ulisse in Circa’s Il Ritorno in Toronto and Montreal.

A baritone living and working in London Alistair Sutherland has completed the MA vocal studies course at the Royal Academy of Music. He is now a pupil of Nicholas Powell. He began with the Opera Holland Park chorus in 2010 where he was selected as as 2012 Christie Collins Young Artist performing in Gianni Schicchi. He continues to work with the company performing small roles and covers. Recently he has worked with OHP Inspire performing The Pirate King (Pirates of Penzance) as part of their outreach programme.

Horacio López Redondo is a London-based accompanist and chamber musician who performs extensively in the UK and Spain. Following his degree in piano from the Conservatory in Madrid, Horacio joined the Royal Academy of Music in London to further his higher education, enrolling in the MA Piano Accompaniment program with Malcolm Martineau and James Baillieu. He graduated in 2013 with Distinction. In 2013, Horacio was Highly Commended in the “Christian Carpentier Prize” to the Best Piano Accompaniment Exam at the Royal Academy of Music.

Lunchtime Concerts are free to attend, with a suggested donation of £3.50.
