Ensemble Molière is a lively and enthusiastic early music group based in London. The unique combination of instruments allows to create memorable programmes from the repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries, particularly from the French Baroque music, which the ensemble is particularly passionate about.
Ensemble Molière has performed at various festivals and venues including the London Handel Festival Friends concert series, Styriarte Festival in Graz, Brugge MA Festival Fringe, Utrecht Early Music Festival OudeMuzik Fringe, as well as numerous venues in the UK. The ensemble also participated in the Early Music Live! scheme at the Brighton Early Music Festival in 2015 where the ensemble received wide-ranging experiences from mentoring and concerts through to outreach workshops.
In 2016, the ensemble have performed at a Fringe Concert at Utrecht Early Music Festival in September and most recently they have given the performance of the new programme “Medicine and Mortality” at the Brighton Early Music Festival, which was highly acclaimed and reviewed positively. Future engagements include a cross-art opera project, Pygmalion by Rameau. They have also recorded their first EP, a collection of French baroque dance movements entitled, ‘Dance Sweets’, which will be available to buy in 2017.
