Performers

French-born soprano Héloïse Werner was of the four shortlisted nominees in the Young Artist category of the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards 2017. Recently described by The Stage as “a rising figure on the contemporary music scene”, Héloïse is soprano & co-director for award-winning contemporary quartet The Hermes Experiment, winners of the Tunnell Trust Awards and Park Lane Group Young Artists. Last year, she starred in Jonathan Woolgar’s acclaimed one-woman opera Scenes from the End at London’s Tristan Bates Theatre, following on from successful runs at the Camden and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. She is also a keen cellist, composer and improviser, and is currently developing her new solo show with writer Octavia Bright, with the support of Snape Maltings. Héloïse read music at Clare College, Cambridge, where she was also a choral scholar. She is currently completing her vocal studies with Alison Wells on the MMus course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance on a scholarship. She is also a Help Musicians UK Postgraduate Award holder.

Since coming to the UK, Indonesian born pianist Imma Setiadi has performed in prestigious venues in the UK both as a soloist and chamber musician such as at the Bridgewater Hall, the Purcell Room, and St. John’s Smith Square. She recently completed her Doctorate at the RCM supervised by Nigel Clayton and Amanda Glauert, where she explored her interest in cross-arts practice and concert experience as a pianist. In 2015/2016 she was selected as Gilbert and Eileen Edgar Junior Fellow in Piano Accompaniment at the RCM and young artist for the Park Lane Group. A recent winner of the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe Concerto Competition, she is currently a Junior Fellow in Piano Accompaniment at Trinity Laban and one of the young artists for the Manchester Mid-Day Concerts Society.
