Mali Llywelyn Harp

Performer

Mali Llywelyn is a Cardiff born harpist and pianist now based in London. She studied both instruments at the Royal Academy of Music on a full scholarship and was also her year’s ABRSM Scholar. She has also studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Jana Bouskova and at the Royal College of Music with Ieuan Jones and graduated with 1st Class. She is a versatile performer, interested in contemporary classical music, experimental music and collaborations with artists outside of classical genres as well as traditional repertoire. She has played solo recitals in Cardiff, Berlin, Istanbul and St James’s Palace and has played in many major venues around the world including the Barbican, Royal Opera House and LSO St Luke’s in London, The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, The Fillmore in San Francisco, Le Poisson Rouge in New York, Le Trianon and Cafe de la Danse in Paris, Botanique, Ancienne Belgique and Cirque Royal in Brussels, and the Olympia Theatre in Dublin. She has played live on BBC Radio 2, 3, 6 and Radio Cymru and appeared live on television multiple times. In addition to her performance work, Mali teaches harp and piano privately and at Hill House School in Chelsea.
