The young pianist Inga Fiolia, daughter of a Georgian jazz pianist, was born in Tbilisi. Here she also performed her debut with Georgian State Chamber Orchestra at the age of 7. While still completing her studies in Moscow, Cologne and London with renowned pianists such as A. Nasedkin, V. Lobanov and P. Feuchtwanger she already performed intensively across Europe and Russia, including solo-concerts with orchestras such as the Georgian State Chamber and National Orchestra, Bergische Symphoniker, Philharmonie –Suedwestfalen, Brussel’s Philharmonic Orchestra and Jaroslawl’s National Symphony Orchestra Russia. In addition, Inga won several international competitions in Germany, Italy, Belgium, including “Jugend spielt Klassik” and the Prize of the German Piano Magazine “Piano News” for her Chopin interpretation among others. As a soloist and chamber musician she has been invited to Schwetzinger SWR Festival, Chamber Music Summer Festival of Villa Musica Mainz, 1st Cologne Festival for Contemporary Music, Rösrath Piano Festival. Her performances were broadcast on German Radio Channels “Deutschlandradio” WDR TV & Radio, SWR and Georgia TV.
Inga’s repertoire ranges from Baroque to 21st century music, including less commonly played pieces, such as Prokofiev’s 9th Sonata . She has premiered contemporary music by German composers, notably Werner Heider, as well as by French and Belgian composers.
She has been awarded with scholarships from Solti Foundation, Yehudy Menuhin “Live Music Now” and German Foundation “Musikleben”.
While pursuing a classical career Inga takes a strong interest in cross-genre songwriting, improvisation and new concert-models, often approaching the public with innovative moderation concepts.
