James Kreiling‘s interest in contemporary music has led to performances in such venues as the Royal Albert and Barbican Halls, including notably a solo performance in the 2007 BBC Henry Wood Proms. In 2008, he was selected as a Park Lane Group Young Artist, resulting in his solo recital début in 2009 to great critical acclaim at the Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room. He also took part in the PLG’s John McCabe Memorail Concert, also in the Purcell and later broadcast on BBC Radio 3.  James Kreiling has broadcast regularly for BBC Radio 3, including performances of the music of Jonathan Harvey, DavidMatthews, Peter Eötvos and Pierre Boulez.  One of James Kreiling’s’ biggest passions is the music of Alexander Scriabin and, focussed on the analysis and performanceof Scriabin’s late piano sonatas, he recently completed his performance-based research doctorate at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He gives regular lecture-recitals on Scriabin’s piano music and has recently recorded the composer’s complete late piano music.


Lunchtime Concerts are FREE, with a suggested donation of £3.50 which goes towards the work of St Martin’s
