About the competition
Now in its eighth year, the St Martin’s Chamber Music Competition is well and truly established in the ambitions of young musicians and in the diaries of London concert-goers.
The competition was started in 2010 and embodies St Martin-in-the-Fields’ commitment to the discovery, nurture and promotion of new and emerging musical talent, continuing a long history of musical excellence and artistic contribution at this iconic Church in the heart of London.
The prize is unique as the winners of the competition will have the opportunity to establish a professional performance profile of concerts around the UK through the Making Music member network.
Making Music has supported the competition since its inception and has been instrumental in providing concert opportunities for the winners alongside the recipients of the Philip & Dorothy Green Award for Young Concert Artists.
