Feinstein Ensemble
Martin Feinstein Flute/Recorder/Director

Specialising in the historically accurate performance of Baroque music, the Feinstein Ensemble's concerts and recordings of the Baroque repertoire have been acclaimed internationally.

The Ensemble performs a regular season of London concerts, broadcasts for BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM and has toured in the Far East, Germany, the Gulf and Egypt, Israel, Belgium and Holland. They have recorded CDs for NAXOS and BLACK BOX MUSIC and have broadcast a groundbreaking recording of Bach's six Brandenburg Concerti for BBC Television. Plans for the coming year include participation in the South Bank Centre's BachFest in March 2009. Their next CD will be a recording of all the Vivaldi recorder concerti.

"Virtuoso flute concertos played with great authenticity and consummate musicianship. The balance between the flute and string orchestra is always beautifully judged and the interplay between them most sensitive."- Gramophone

"They play with a lightness and delicacy, yet also with a security and force that are a sheer delight. As for Feinstein himself, his flute-playing is beyond praise-I have never heard better." - Fanfare (USA)
