The concert is 45 minutes in duration with no interval. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance.

Miiya Hooper - piano

Programme
Born in Japan on 9 July 1993, Miiya Alexandra Hooper began the piano at the age of five and now continues her education at Toho Gakuen High School of Music in Tokyo where she is taught by Professor Izumi Komoriya. Other teachers in Japan include Junko Urayama, Kayuri Hamada, Naoko Shimizu and Lilian Strange in England.

She has performed in various venues in Japan including the British Embassy and the Kioi Hall in Tokyo. Over a number of years she has attended summer schools in England and France. Performances in England have included the North London Piano School International Summer Course at the Purcell School, where she won the concert prize, and the Suzuki International Summer School at Bryanston. Her most recent performance has been in a charity concert in aid of a children's school in Kitwe, Zambia.

This lunchtime concert is FREE and no ticket is required. Lunchtime concerts last approximately 45 minutes and latecomers will be admitted to the church when there is a suitable break in the programme. A collection is taken at the end of the concert which goes towards the work of St Martin's.
