Choros is a semi-professional chamber choir based in rural North Oxfordshire. The choir was formed in 1993 by its conductor, Janet Lincé, and is noted for its innovative programming, high standard of performance, and commitment to local as well as established venues. The choir's main performing areas are Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and surrounding counties, but it also performs in London.
Choros wants to encourage as wide a range of people as possible to listen to and enjoy choral music of all kinds. For this reason, the choir performs a very diverse repertoire, and varies its presentation to suit its audience. Performances have included Bach's Mass in B Minor and St John Passion with period instruments, Spem in alium by Tallis, a children's concert on the theme of animals, works by Jonathan Harvey and James MacMillan and newly-commissioned works.
Online booking is now closed for this concert, but tickets may be purchased by calling the box office on +44 (0)20 7766 1100 Monday to Saturday, 10 to 5pm.
For Bank Holiday Monday concerts, the Box Office is open for telephone and in-person bookings on the preceding Sunday from 12 to 5pm and on the Bank Holiday Monday from 12pm until the end of the interval of the concert.
