St Martin’s Chorus is the newest choir at St Martin-in-the-Fields, founded in April 2015 and numbering around thirty singers.
It is an engaging and aspirational voluntary chamber choir that performs both major choral works and more intimate, small-scale pieces, by world renowned and lesser well-known classical composers. Performances generally take place at St Martin-in-the-Fields as well as one performance outside London each term. Recent projects include Handel’s Dixit Dominus, Bach’s St John Passion, Brahms’ Requiem, Orff’s Carmina Burana and Will Todd’s Mass in Blue.
“I thought it would be a fantastic way to perform regularly and a great opportunity to meet new people. It really has been – St Martin’s is full of entertaining people, great people to talk to, and I’ve made some good friends. I enjoy the variety of repertoire that we do with Chorus and I’m really looking forward to our next project”
