St Martin’s Occasional Singers

Music St Martin – Listen and enjoy

Our Occasional Singers aim to advance the culture of enthusiastic participatory congregational music at St Martin’s, worshipping and gaining enjoyment in a pressure-free environment.

Occasional Singers sing two or three services a term in St Martin’s. Drawn from the St Martin’s community and beyond, the group usually meets 45 minutes before a service for a rehearsal of the music. In addition, there are occasional choral workshops and other activities. All are welcome to join.

“I joined the Occasional Singers in 2014 and consider it an absolute privilege to be able to sing in such a prestigious venue and under the direction of the wonderful musical MDs at St Martins. Not only has it enabled me to improve my singing technique during both the rehearsals and the workshops that are held, I have also been introduced to some wonderful music and singing opportunities, including the BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal led by John Telfer.  As we begin 2016 I look forward to our next musical adventures, meeting and singing alongside some amazing people.”  Alexandra Lee, January 2016
