St Martin-in-the-Fields has a proud history of hosting some of London’s best live classical music events. Audiences and performers come together in central London to enjoy a series of evening classical concerts, free lunchtime concerts, educational concerts, concerts for families and late-night music events in St Martin’s’  wonderfully rich acoustic.

Prizewinning pianist Imma Setiadi gives an exhilarating performance, representing the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe. Greenwich Sinfonia debut at St Martin’s under the baton of Manuel Arellano Bover for a performance of Beethoven’s ‘Emperor’ piano concerto.

Internationally renowned musicians David de la Varga and Alberto Portugheis perform works by Mozart, de Falla and Romero in this lunchtime concert. Pianist and pedagogue, Alberto Portugheis is founder member and Vice-chairman of the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe, Vice-chairman of the International Society for the Study of Tension in Performance, Vice-president of the European Piano Teachers’ Association and founder of the Asociacion Latino-Americana de Pianistas Pedagogos. Violinist David de la Varga Rojo is concertmaster of the Orquesta de Cámara Eutherpe and professor at the Escuela Municipal de Musica de León in León, Spain.
