The final volume in the Heritage Edition of the Saint John’s Bible, the most significant hand-scribed to be produced since the invention of the printing press 500 years ago, is now on display in the foyer of St Martin-in-the-Fields.
Letters and Revelation brings to life some of the most dramatic passages of the Bible in vivid illuminations and characterful, elegant script. Paul’s letters, the oldest surviving Christian documents, and the enigmatic book of Revelation are presented in a blaze of colour – including rich illuminations of the Harrowing of Hell, the Kenosis Hymn, the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse and the Vision of New Jerusalem.
The pages are turned each day, so remember to check back each time you visit.
