Lent: the period of 40 weekdays from Ash Wednesday to Easter, observed by Christians as a period of fasting, penitence and reflection.
Tempt: to entice or try to entice someone to do something that they find attractive but know to be wrong or unwise (see Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness).
Disciple: a person who believes in the ideas and principles of someone famous and tries to live the way that person does
Discipline: training or encouragement that makes people more willing to obey or more able to control themselves.
Congregational giving: the means by which a church is able to fulfil its calling; an opportunity to join in with a church’s mission and ministry.
Generosity: the quality of being kind and generous.
