Hailed by critics for his “incontestable musical talent and musicality” (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Germany), “refinement of his sound” (Piano, Great Britain) as well as “passion, sincerity and lyricism” (Culture, Russia), Evgeni Mikhailov has performed over four hundred concerts around the world. He has appeared at such prestigious venues as the Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles, Steinway Hall in New York, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Concert Hall “G. Verdi” in Milan, Salle Cortot in Paris, and City Hall in Hong Kong. He is also a regular guest at many international festivals including BerlinMoscau, the Lucerne International Music Festival, and the Bergen (Norway) International Festival.

He has performed as a soloist with such orchestras as Deutsche Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Russian National Orchestra, Orchestre National de Belgique, St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic, National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of Montevideo (Uruguay), Mexico City Philharmonic, and the Buenos Aires Philharmonic.

Mikhailov is a prizewinner of many international piano competitions including Scriabin International Piano Competition (Moscow, Russia), Rachmaninoff International Piano Competition (Los Angeles, USA), Pozzoli International Piano Competition (Milan, Italy), and Eriksson International Piano Competition (Sweden) among others.
