Performer

Aliya Turetayeva is one of the most promising and talented kazakh pianists of her time. She received her first piano lesson at the age of five and later moved to Europe to continue her musical studies. She graduated from the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz, Cologne and from the prominent Mozarteum University, Salzburg under the tutelage of Professor Gililov. Her other teachers are Professor Norma Fisher and Professor Ronan O’Hora in London.

Aliya appeared at many festivals including the Dresden Music Festival, The Ruhr Piano Festival, The European Classical Festival, Ruhr,The International Holland Music Sessions, Festival Pianistico di Spoleto, Aurora Classic Festival, Sweden, Ars Haliaeti Festival, Slovenia and has performed at major international venues such as the Steinway-Haus in Düsseldorf, WDR Funkhaus Kleiner Sendesaal,Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen,Elgar Room Royal Albert Hall London,Weill Recital Hall/Carnegie Hall New York,Bechstein Centre Cologne as part of the Young Professional Series, Alexander Girardi Hall during the Academy Artists Series at Dino Ciani Festival (Italy), St.Martin-in-the-Fields, London, Gesellschaft für Musiktheater, Vienna and at Kammerkonzert-Reihen at Niederrhein.

Aliya is a prizewinner of the International Piano Competition for Young Pianists by V. Krainev and the International Piano Competition in Almaty. Her other distinctions include winning the Meissen Rotary Club Award at the Meissen International Music Academy ,Beethoven Piano Master Best Participant Award and an Honorable Mention Award at Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition in New York,USA.

Aliya additionally worked with many celebrated musicians including D.Bashkirov, M.Voskresensky, V.Krainev, A. Jashinski, W. Manz, S.Mikowsky, H. Sigfridsson, G.Scott, Ch.Elton, N.Fisher and S.Mikowsky, H.Milne, J.Swann and C.M.Mehner.
