The award winning Red Stripe Band are back at the Crypt as they celebrate 22 years in the business having playing to over 250,000 fans worldwide. Expect an engaging and energetic mix of 1930s boogie , 1940s swing and 1950s rock n roll The Red Stripe Band. Their colourful career has seen their latest original CD “Soho Surprise” top at number 10 in the London Jazz Charts and their songs used on Radio and TV alike including by Pizza Giant Papa Johns in the USA. They have played at every Jazz and Blues festival in the UK and picked up best newcomer at Montreux Jazz Festival in 2010. Riamba’s line-up came about through the musicians’ joint love of traditional Cuban music in the Son style – the roots of Salsa.With their eclectic musical experiences, the musicians merge their own individual styles, creating their own unique sound which combines the rhythms of Latin America with European harmony and the virtuosity of jazz, resulting in compelling music for dancing as well as the concert stage.Riamba’s musicians, who are from Europe and Latin America, have toured extensively around the world with renowned artists such as Enclavegospel, The Ghana Dance Ensemble, Stewart Copeland (The Police) as well as playing at world-famous venues such as: The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Festival Hall, Jazz Café, Bolivar Hall, Cubana and The National Theatres (London and Ghana).

The Mississippi Swamp Dogs take the best of these much loved songs and present them in a tuneful, high-energy show that will draw you in and keep everyone smiling.

If you love the music of Fats Domino, the Neville Brothers, Dr John, Louis Prima, Professor Longhair, and the great Louis Armstrong, you’ll go crazy for this band. Miss Hoodoo And The Delta Boys

Performers

Exploding out of the London Soul and Blues scene, Miss Hoodoo and the Delta Boys have already earned a well deserved reputation as one of the hottest tickets on the worldwide Blues/ Soul circuit.

Based in London, the band has already toured much of UK and Europe, and has had shows in Brazil. The band features some of the most experienced and in demand musicians on the scene who have performed with the likes of Paloma Faith, Kylie Minogue and many other top recording artists.  Band members have performed at venues including Ronnie Scotts, the Jazz Cafe and the O2.

Miss Hoodoo and the Delta Boys comprises the inspirational, Arethaesque vocals of Bridgette Amofah, with a heavyweight horn section led by Chris Webster, a tight rhythm section featuring  Jared Pizzata on Drums, Mateus Nova on Bass and Jacob Quistgaard on guitar, and Kiris Houston on piano and harmonica.
