The award winning Red Stripe Band are back at the Crypt as they celebrate 22 years in the business having playing to over 250,000 fans worldwide. Expect an engaging and energetic mix of 1930s boogie , 1940s swing and 1950s rock n roll The Red Stripe Band. Their colourful career has seen their latest original CD “Soho Surprise” top at number 10 in the London Jazz Charts and their songs used on Radio and TV alike including by Pizza Giant Papa Johns in the USA. They have played at every Jazz and Blues festival in the UK and picked up best newcomer at Montreux Jazz Festival in 2010. With a repertoire ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to Stevie Wonder to Michael Jackson, The Fabulations are one of those rare bands who are equally at home performing jazz/swing classics from the 40s and 50s, soul and disco anthems, or recent chart hits.

Marion J’s powerful voice drives this talented band as they move effortlessly from sultry jazz to floor-filling dance numbers.

Performers

Exploding out of the London Soul and Blues scene, Miss Hoodoo and the Delta Boys have already earned a well deserved reputation as one of the hottest tickets on the worldwide Blues/ Soul circuit.

Based in London, the band has already toured much of UK and Europe, and has had shows in Brazil. The band features some of the most experienced and in demand musicians on the scene who have performed with the likes of Paloma Faith, Kylie Minogue and many other top recording artists.  Band members have performed at venues including Ronnie Scotts, the Jazz Cafe and the O2.

Miss Hoodoo and the Delta Boys comprises the inspirational, Arethaesque vocals of Bridgette Amofah, with a heavyweight horn section led by Chris Webster, a tight rhythm section featuring  Jared Pizzata on Drums, Mateus Nova on Bass and Jacob Quistgaard on guitar, and Kiris Houston on piano and harmonica.

Mississippi Swamp Dogs presents “A Night In New Orleans,” a celebration of the rich variety of music from the Crescent City. This presentation has been featured and loved at Ronnie Scott’s, The Hideaway, The Bulls Head in Barnes, all the major Jazz Clubs in London.

Stroll through New Orleans’ legendary French Quarter and you’ll be entranced by some of the most joyous, most danceable, most irresistible sounds heard anywhere on the planet. The Mississippi Swamp Dogs take the best of these much loved songs and present them in a tuneful, high-energy show that will draw you in and keep everyone smiling.

If you love the music of Fats Domino, the Neville Brothers, Dr John, Louis Prima, Professor Longhair, and the great Louis Armstrong, you’ll go crazy for this band. The Dogs offer a riotous mixture of funk, Cajun, soul, rock ‘n’ roll, old style shuffles, and Latin rhythms. And more than these New Orleans masters, you can expect to hear the music of BB King, The Crusaders, Lynyrd Skynrd, and many other renowned artists associated with the rich musical heritage of the American.
