This programme showcases their sparkling choral and instrumental works, together with songs by the Prussian princess Wilhelmine von Bayreuth and two motets by Mendelssohn – the leading German Romantic composer credited with reviving Bach’s works for nineteenth century audiences and rekindling their enduring fame.
