Antoine Préat piano

A Naïve Records Exclusive Artist and multi-award winner, Franco-Belgian pianist Antoine Préat is recognized for his “distinctive voice” and strong musical convictions. He has performed at prestigious venues including Wigmore Hall, St John’s Smith Square, Salle Gaveau, Salle Cortot, Paris Beaux Arts Museum, and the Frederyk Chopin Institute, as well as at festivals such as Nohant Chopin, Lisztomanias, Chopin à Bagatelle, Les Nuits du Piano, IMS Open Chamber Music at Prussia Cove, and Encuentro de Santander. His performances have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, France Musique, Scala Radio, and RTBF Musiq3.

Antoine has collaborated with leading artists and ensembles, including Maté Szücs, Margarita Balanas, Manuel Blanco, Sinfonietta Lausanne, and the Academy Festival Orchestra. He has received guidance from renowned musicians such as Philippe Cassard, Thomas Adès, Robert Levin, Richard Goode, Imogen Cooper, and Stephen Hough.

After graduating with honours from the École Normale de Paris, he continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music, also studying harpsichord and fortepiano under Carole Cerasi. He has won the Concours International d’Ile de France, the Los Angeles Colburn Piano Festival Competition, and was a semifinalist at the 2021 Clara Haskil Competition. Passionate about teaching, he has taught at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and is supported by Talent Unlimited, the Munster Derek Butler Award, Hattori Foundation, and Winifred Christie Trust.
