Academy of St Martin in the Fields with Timothy Ridout
Thursday 26 June 2025
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
A concert showcasing the virtuoso viola soloist Timothy Ridout, former BBC New Generation Artist and stellar soloist and chamber musician, with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. Hummel’s Potpourri, an acoustical bouquet, written in 1820 borrows popular melodies of the time from Mozart and Rossini, woven together by Hummel into a brilliant fantasy showcase for viola. Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante will pair Ridout’s viola with the violin of director/leader, Tomo Keller, in one of Mozart’s most iconic works.
