Located in the crypt of St Martin’s, at the edge of Trafalgar Square, this welcoming and hidden café has been a favourite of tourists and locals alike for 30 years.  Original brick-vaulted ceilings and historic tombstones lining the floor provide the backdrop to a varied selection of freshly prepared, value for money food throughout the day.

Re-Opening Hours

The Café in the Crypt will re-open on Wednesday 19 May 2021

Wednesday – Saturday: 12.00-19.00
Sunday: 11.00 – 17.00

The our Cafés offer delicious treats including toasties, soup and a selection of cakes. We are also serving tea, coffee and introducing a new range of soft drinks.

It is the perfect place if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to sit and work or have a small meeting. We are a COVID-secure site; for more information on our measures, see here.

All ingredients are sourced from the best British producers. All meat has been supplied by Swaledale Butchers.They use in-house smokers and cure their own sustainable meats. All the cheese is supplied by Neal’s Yard Dairy; a traditional cheesemonger specialising in high quality British cheese.
