Crypt Lates: Frankly Sinatra with Sam Furlonger & The Fraser Smith Band
Wednesday 12 June 2024
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
The Franky Sinatra project is a first-rate collaboration between Sam and The Fraser Smith Band. Living and breathing swing, they bring the iconic music and legend of Sinatra to life for a modern audience.
The group will perform an iconic set of expertly transcribed arrangements from the seminal ‘Sinatra & Sextet: Live in Paris’ concert of 1962, this performance being the culmination of a carefully curated project born of a passion for the master singer’s genius.
Sam Furlonger is quickly building a name for himself as the leading London vocalist since he relocated to the capital in 2022.
Sam’s vocal style is heavily rooted in the tradition of the American masters Nat King Cole and Sinatra, and his live show carries a real authenticity while avoiding clichés.
His achievements in the short time since moving to London include sold out shows at both Pizza Express Live (Dean St) and Crazy Coq’s, the latter of which featured in the London Jazz Festival.
The Fraser Smith Band brings together some of Europe’s finest young professional Jazz musicians – all band leaders in their own right.
‘A voice like a clear sky’ – Georgia Cecile on Sam Furlonger
‘A talent to watch’ – Jazzwise on The Fraser Smith Band
Doors open from 7pm allowing you plenty of time to settle in, and enjoy some delicious food and drinks before the show starts at 8pm.
