Their programme promises a journey through masterworks, from the intricate beauty of Bach’s Sonata in C minor and the charm of Rachmaninov’s Morceaux de Salon, to the profound depths of Shostakovich’s Violin and Piano Sonata. Italian pianist Sofia Sacco has performed extensively throughout Europe and Asia, appearing as a soloist in more than 80 recitals in Italy, Germany, Spain, Belgium and recently toured China giving recitals in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Changsha, Changchun, Hangzhou, Shenzhen. She will release her first CD featuring Dimitri Shostakovich’s 24 Preludes and Fugues op.87 in 2025.

She has also made appearances with the Pollini Symphony Orchestra, the Audentia Ensemble, Orchestra delle Tre Venezie and the Timía Chamber Orchestra. Sofia is the recipient of the Francis Simms Prize and first prize winner of the Bach International Music Competition and A. Baldi International Piano Competition.

After studying at the Royal Academy of Music as a scholarship student with R. Hayroudinoff, Sofia was appointed Hodgson Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music for two consecutive years, and was recently awarded the Aud Jebsen Fellowship for 2024/2025. Widely curious, she is also a Physics graduate from the University of Padua.

A City Music Foundation Artist, artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, and a member of the Ensemble Modern Academy in Frankfurt, Emmanuel Coppey is building a remarkable career. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has collaborated with Jérémie Rhorer, Vahan Mardirossian, Nelson Goerner, Marc Coppey, Augustin Dumay, Emre Şener, Anna Vinnitskaya, Barbara Hannigan, Nicolas Baldeyrou, François Salque, Guillaume Bellom, Martin Beaver, Bertrand Chamayou, and Frank Braley, performing at some of Europe’s most prestigious festivals. His repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary music and includes the complete Sonatas and Partitas by Bach, with which he won the 2023 New York Bach Barbash Competition. As an arranger, he has also composed a virtuosic piece inspired by Dukas’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Emmanuel has been mentored by renowned violinists György Pauk and Augustin Dumay. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and the Paris Conservatory, where he studied with Philippe Graffin and Svetlin Roussev. His musical journey began under the guidance of Larissa Kolos. He has received support from the Royal Academy of Music, Adami, the Fondation de la Vocation, and the Banque Populaire Foundation. Since July 2024, he is an artist-in-residence at the Singer-Polignac Foundation. He plays a magnificent 1735 Guarnerius violin from the Guttman Collection.
