Monteverdi Choir and the English Baroque Soloists: Handel Messiah
Tuesday 16 December 2025
7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
The Monteverdi Choir sings Handel’s Messiah – with Sarah Connolly heading an all-star cast.
Hallelujah! Handel’s Messiah is so much more than just a British seasonal fixture – and there’s more than one way to perform it, too. In this intimately-scaled, historically-informed performance from the Monteverdi Choir it’ll sound as fresh as the day it was written. The Monteverdi Choir and the English Baroque Soloists have form with Handel – they were one of the very first “period” groups to record Messiah – but these are performers who always have something new to say. Add the vibrant Christophe Rousset, and a team of soloists that includes Dame Sarah Connolly, and this should be very special indeed.
