The Gesualdo Six: Nachtmusik
Thursday 20 November 2025
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Music that glows in the dark: an evening of nocturnes from Owain Park and the radiant voices of The Gesualdo Six.
Where shall the weary traveller find their rest…? As night falls, the imagination takes flight: a time for dark fears and magical dreams; for dread, wonder and deep, tranquil beauty. For centuries, composers and poets have found inspiration in the hours of darkness and now Owain Park and his acclaimed The Gesualdo Six take a long day’s journey into night. Monteverdi and Dowland send up nocturnal prayers, Brahms and his contemporaries contemplate secret longings and Park himself finds new beauties in one of Schubert’s sublimest slow movements. Sink into its arms tonight…
