Trio Zimbalist & Dionysis Grammenos: Quartet for the End of Time
Thursday 13 March 2025
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Experience the power of music born from conflict with Trio Zimbalist and guest Dionysis Grammenos.
Their programme features two masterpieces composed in the shadow of war. Ravel’s Trio in A minor reflects the looming threat of World War I whilst Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time, a work of profound spiritual depth, was written and premiered in a World War II prisoner-of-war camp.
Witness the triumph of artistic expression over adversity as these musicians breathe new life into timeless works.
