Wrocław Baroque Ensemble: Vivaldi Gloria
Thursday 14 August 2025
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Join the acclaimed Wrocław Baroque Ensemble for this special evening centred around Antonio Vivaldi’s magnificent Gloria. Composed around 1715, this beloved masterwork of Baroque sacred music captivates with its rich orchestration and soaring choral textures, embodying the spiritual depth and musical brilliance that defined the era.
The Wrocław Baroque Ensemble, led by artistic director Andrzej Kosendiak, brings their renowned expertise in historically informed performance to this compelling evening. As a resident ensemble of the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, they specialise in bringing both beloved classics and Central European treasures to life with authentic period style.
The programme also features selections from Mikołaj Zielenski’s Offertoria et communiones totius anni, offering insight into the sophisticated musical culture of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the counterpoint techniques that bridged Renaissance and Baroque traditions.
A memorable journey through sacred music from the heart of European baroque tradition.
