Yale Schola Cantorum is one of the world’s great chamber choirs – an ensemble (in the words of BBC Music Magazine “full of young, vibrant voices, and they respond with alacrity and sensitivity”. That’s no surprise: these 32 performers have been trained by some of the world’s leading specialists in choral singing and early music. We’re delighted to welcome them to St Martin-in-the-Fields, along with the period-instrument ensemble Juilliard 415, to perform Bach’s towering Mass in B minor. This is music that’s greater than any single performance: but under the Schola Cantorum’s hugely respected director David Hill, this one should have something very special to say.
