Anna Geniushene (Piano)

Born in Moscow, Anna Geniushene is studying for her Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music under Professor Emeritus Christopher Elton. She graduated from Elena Kuznetsova’s class at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and took part in International Musicians Seminar (Prussia Cove, Cornwall) working with Ferenc Rados and Kirill Gerstein.

Anna won numerous competitions, including the Beethoven in Moscow Music Festival (2007), Shchedrin Music Competition (2008), Romantic Music Festival for Young Musicians (2010), Citta di Padova International Music Competition (2012).

The year of 2017 has become a very prosperous for Anna — she received three prizes in a row at the different competitions such as Mauro Monopoli Prize (second prize, Italy) and Sheepdrove Intercollegiate Competition (first prize/audience prize, Newbury). Her recent major achievement includes Third prize, Junior Academy Prize and Chamber Music Prize at Feruccio Busoni International Piano Competition (Bolzano/Bozen,Italy, 2017), one of the oldest competitions in the world.

Anna is a devoted ambassador of Russian culture throughout the world: she represented the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory at the Kyoto International Music Students Festival in Japan (2014) and in autumn 2015 became a soloist of the St.-Petersburg House of Music.

Anna Geniushene’s wide repertoire range from Baroque to the present day and includes solo and piano duet pieces as well as many concertos and variety of chamber music.
