BBC Introducing Classical Artist Jamal Aliyev is rapidly becoming one of the most sought after cellists of his generation. His debut album with Anna Fedorova, Russian Masters was released in March 2017 on Champs Hill Records. Jamal will also record with Classic FM and Warner Classics next season for which the esteemed composer Sir Karl Jenkins will write a piece especially for him. Jamal gave his solo debut performance at the BBC Proms, Royal Albert Hall, London in 2017 where he performed with Keith Lockhart conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra. The same year, he gave his solo debut appearance at the Royal Festival Hall in London under the baton of Sir Karl Jenkins and the Philharmonia. He is proud to be a Concordia Foundation Artist. Jamal Aliyev plays on a Giovanni Battista Gabrielli 1756, on loan from a patron of the Beares International Violin Society.

Jane (Hyeonjin) Cho, born in 1997 in Seoul, has begun playing the violin at the age of 6. In 2006, she took up a place at the Yehudi Menuhin School in England where she studied with Professor Liutsia Ibragimova. As of September 2017, Jane will commence her studies at the Royal College of Music, as a RCM scholar supported by The Royal College of Music and a Joan Weller Scholarship, with Ithzak Rashkovsky as well as continuing her studies at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel with Augustin Dumay. Jane plays a Patigny bow kindly granted by Augustin Dumay, and on a ‘Francisco Ruger detto il Per in Cremona dell’ano 1679’ kindly granted by the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.

Salih Can Gevrek, born in Turkey in 1992, began piano lessons at the age of 5. He was accepted into the prestigious Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Drama Preparatory School in Ankara at the age of 7. He continued his studies at Bilkent University with Gulnara Aziz until 2011 when he was accepted into the Royal College of Music London. Salih is currently studying an Artist Diploma degree with Dmitri Alexeev.
