John Landor Conductor

London Musical Arts Orchestra and Ensemble has performed regularly at St Martin-in-the-Fields since 1992 and has also appeared at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, St John’s Smith Square, at festivals and on tour abroad. Formed by conductor and educator John Landor, it is notable for its innovative Mini Maestro family concerts and Meet the Music events. It brings together some of London’s finest musicians, notable for their enthusiasm and commitment to inspiring audiences both young and old.

Joshua Fisher (violin) was a BBC Radio 3 winner of the Young Artist Forum in 1994. He has appeared at major concert halls throughout the UK and performed as violin soloist at the Royal Festival Hall and with the Philharmonia Orchestra at St John’s, Smith Square.

John Landor is Conductor and Musical Director of London Musical Arts Orchestra. Described as ‘a gifted musician with brilliant conducting abilities’ by the great conducting pedagogue Ilya Musin, he is an inspiring communicator of music both through his performances and talks. Trained at Oxford University, London’s Royal Academy of Music and the St Petersburg Conservatory, he has conducted orchestras, choirs and opera companies throughout Europe and South Africa and has recorded for Pickwick Records. He is an Associate of The Royal Academy of Music, London.
