The members of Moriarty Winds united over their desire to form an ensemble that could perform a variety of repertoire, from classical to contemporary, in new, characterful and accessible ways.
London Metropolitan Brass were formed in 2016, with current students at the Royal Academy of Music, selected to represent the Academy in this newly-formed quintet. In 2017, the quintet won the Worshipful Company of Musicians Brass Ensembles Prize and are quickly become a well established chamber ensemble.
