Children are the church of today
We believe children are not just the church of tomorrow, they are a meaningful part of the church of today. Families, children, and youth are an integral part of life and worship at St Martin’s. We are working towards being a church where children and young people contribute to our collective worship regularly.
Children of all ages are welcome in our services. We understand that young children can make noise.
Jesus was not a silent baby, and we welcome members of the church community who are not at an age where they can always fully engage with silence. We appreciate the service can feel quite long for young children if your child becomes upset during the service you are welcome to take them to the back if they need that to settle or to the room mentioned below. Email our Head of Children’s and Youth Ministry email@example.com or speak to a steward if you would like to access any of the following today or in the future:
We welcome breast feeding in our services and also have a room allocated if you would like that.
We usually have a special room with toys and worship activities provided if parents and carers would like to take babies and preschool aged children at any point in our service.
We have children’s church groups during the service (currently alternate weeks) for those of primary school age and a monthly youth group after our service.
