A Tale of Two Cities: Sian Dicker (soprano) & Krystal Tunnicliffe (piano)

Friday 07 October 2022

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Inspired by Errollyn Wallen’s London’s Burning, Siân Dicker (soprano) and Krystal Tunnicliffe (piano) perform a programme celebrating London and Paris. Various songs and poems evoke a multi-faceted experience of these two cities; from a newspaper seller on the Metro, religion-mongers in Hyde Park, dead bodies and gold at the bottom of the Seine, to the business girls of Camden Town, the glitzy splendour of the Lord Mayor’s banquet, and much more.

‘There was no doubt about Dicker’s full throttle engagement, with each song oozing characterful expression… ample tones, gorgeously rich in the middle and fruity at the bottom’ Opera Today

‘Tunnicliffe is, from first listening, an exceptionally gifted and sympathetic player, whose light, flowing touch will endear itself to a host of the next best singers.’ Classical Music Daily
