Friday 12 May 2023

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Praised for his subtle interpretations and refined technical mastery, British pianist Alexander Ullman has impressed audiences and critics worldwide with his deep understanding of the scores he interprets, his elegant touch and crystalline phrasing.

Programme

Beethoven –  Sonata Op.109
Maurice Ravel – Pavane pour une infante défunte
César Franck – Prélude, Choral et Fugue

Performer

Alexander Ullman – piano

Beethoven’s Op.109 sonata marks a return to a more elegant intimate style following the mighty Hammerklavier sonata a few years earlier. It is complemented by one of Ravel’s best-loved piano pieces and then crowned by Franck’s expansive Prelude, Choral and Fugue.
