Family Christmas Concert with Audience Carols

Enjoy some wonderful festive music and sing along to favourite Christmas carols.

Programme includes:

Handel – ‘Overture’ from Music for the Royal Fireworks
Vivaldi – ‘Winter’ from The Four Seasons
Pachelbel  Canon in D
Bach – Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring
Corelli – Concerto Grosso in G minor ‘Christmas Concerto’

Plus carols for orchestra and audience including Away in a Manger, The First Nowell, Silent Night, and O Come All Ye Faithful.

LMA Orchestra and Ensemble has performed at the historic church of St Martin-in-the-Fields since 1992, involving around 30 appearances each year. It has also performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and St John’s Smith Square and appeared at festivals and on tour abroad since its formation in 1985. LMA Orchestra is committed to reaching new audiences and inspiring young people through its series of Mini Maestro family concerts at St Martin’s and has introduced many talented young soloists to the public.

John Landor is Music Director of LMA Orchestra and Ensemble. He studied at Oxford University, the Royal Academy of Music in London and the St Petersburg Music Conservatory under Ilya Mussin and has conducted at major British venues and performed and recorded throughout Europe. He is also a composer, arranger and an experienced and popular presenter of educational concerts for both children and adults. John has recorded several CD’s for Pickwick Records. He is an Associate of London’s Royal Academy of Music.
