Gifted young British pianist John Paul Ekins brings infectious enthusiasm and passion to all his performances, whether live or through his YouTube channel ‘Cats, Chats & 88 Keys’. An engaging speaker, he loves sharing stories about the pieces and composers and what they mean to him.
John takes us on a journey from Beethoven’s tempestuous Pathétique Sonata through to the dream-world of Debussy. The concert culminates with a performance of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
