Stainer Crucifixion by Candlelight
Thursday 30 March 2023
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Choral Scholars of St Martin-in-the-Fields perform Stainer’s iconic Crucifixion in the new orchestral arrangement by Iain Farrington which premiered at St Martin’s in 2021. Farrington’s orchestration imbues Stainer’s Passiontide oratorio with fresh colour and relevance, whilst preserving the much-loved elements of the original work including the cherished chorus ‘God So Loved the World’.
