Tredegar Town Band with Ben Goldscheider
Saturday 10 June 2023
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Tredegar is one of the most famous brass bands in the world with a reputation for incredible musical excellence. With over 150 years of rich musical heritage they continue to explore exciting artistic horizons – from film appearances (they featured in the award winning film ‘Pride’) to contemporary ballet productions. Their appearance at the Proms this year was met with rave critical reviews and they have a history of undertaking ground breaking projects. They are joined in this concert by Ben Goldscheider who performed with the band in his Proms debut this year adding to his increasingly illustrious solo career performing with many of the leading orchestras of the world. Tonight’s programme will showcase the breadth of talent in this much respected band with a programme spanning a wide range of musical genres – from showstopping hits to classical favourites.
“No other brass band can do what Tredegar can do. Their musical versatility is incredible. I’ve never worked with a group of musicians with such passion, drive and commitment to excel and also with an insatiable appetite to innovative and encompass new ideas. They are simply fantastic.”
