This piano recital traces a journey from psychological intensity to clarity and resolve. The programme opens with the driving pulse of Philip Glass, before moving into the dramatic tension of Mozart’s A minor Sonata. At the heart of the concert stands Chopin’s Third Piano Sonata — a work of vast emotional scope that brings together intimacy, conflict, and architectural power. The recital concludes with Chopin’s “Heroic” Polonaise, transforming inward struggle into a statement of dignity and strength. Throughout the programme, brief spoken reflections offer insight into the music and its emotional landscape, inviting listeners to experience the concert not only as a sequence of works, but as a connected musical journey.

Cyrill Ibrahim piano
Cyrill Ibrahim is a concert pianist, described by The Daily Telegraph as “one of the most exciting pianists of his generation.” A graduate of the Royal College of Music, he has performed at major international venues including the Concertgebouw, the Philharmonie, and St John’s Smith Square.
He has performed for Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla and premiered a solo piano version of the Coronation Kyrie at the British Embassy in Rome. Cyrill plays a central artistic role in the Sky Arts documentary Mozart: A Genius for Hire, which was released in December.
His debut album Dialogue has been featured on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM, and he has appeared on BBC One’s The One Show, BBC iPlayer, and In Tune. He has been profiled by Tatler, Gentleman’s Journal, and named in the Attitude 101 list of ‘23. Based in London, he works internationally across performance, broadcast, and cultural projects that reimagine classical music for contemporary audiences.
