The English Concert: Handel's Hercules
7:00 pm - 9:45 pm
Handel’s masterful opera Hercules is a tragic tale of jealousy and mistrust. Fresh from battle, Hercules returns victorious, but the consuming jealousy of his wife Dejanira, sung by Ann Hallenberg, sets off a chain of events. This powerful work, performed by The English Concert and The Clarion Choir, reminds us that even the greatest among us can be undone by human frailty.
