Remembering St Martin’s in your will
There has been a church on our site since the 13th century.
For many hundreds of years, St Martin-in-the-Fields has offered a place of welcome in the heart of London. We want to preserve our beautiful buildings and all we achieve here for future generations.
If St Martin’s is special to you and to your loved ones, can you help us to secure our future by remembering us in your will?
Your gift will make a difference.
Each year generous supporters leave St Martin’s gifts in their wills. These gifts make a big difference. In the past few years, legacy gifts have funded our music and concerts, a new sound system and new processional cross for the church, specific areas of ministry, as well as our endowment that will support the costs of our building for years to come.
No gift is too small to make a lasting difference – we are grateful for every act of generosity and every penny we receive.
It’s simple to leave a gift
Whether you’re making a will for the first time or simply changing an existing will, it’s easier than you might think to leave us a gift.
Once you have made provision for your loved ones, you can also make a lasting gift to the next generation – and many generations to come – when you remember our work. First, you’ll need to decide what type of gift you’d like to leave and whether you’d like it to be used in any particular way, for example, to support our music, to fund refurbishment of our buildings or a particular area of our ministry.
Decide which type of gift to leave
- With a residuary gift, you can leave the remainder of your estate, or a percentage of it, once family and friends have been provided for. This is the type of gift many supporters choose to make, because it has the added benefit of keeping its value over time – it isn’t affected by inflation.
- With a pecuniary gift, you can specify a particular amount of money that you would like to leave to St Martin’s.
It is always helpful to have gifts in wills that can be used wherever they are most urgently needed at the time they come to us. But we also understand your wish for your gift to benefit something that’s important to you. Simply tell us what your wishes are. We will be pleased to honour them.
You can be confident that your gift will make a real difference to the future of St Martin’s.
You can discuss leaving a gift in your will in confidence, and request further information by contacting the Development Team at St Martin-in-the-Fields Trust: email@example.com/020 7766 1168
