This month the St Martin’s Frontline Network will be three years old. It’s a fantastic part of what St Martin’s does to support those affected by homelessness.

It’s not about us. It’s about frontline workers – those working directly with people experiencing homelessness. We work with their ideas and expertise, finding ways to help their work. As part of that, we offer three things; time for local frontline workers to regularly get together and share experiences while getting to know one another, secondly, to look for answers to some of the problems affecting frontline staff and the people they support and thirdly, links for frontline staff with those that make policy and decisions.

Next week the Frontline Network will hold its third annual conference. Frontline Workers from across the UK will meet and explore ways to help their work and people away from homelessness.

I hope for three things: that frontline workers feel supported and valued; that their voices are heard; and that we can assist them in ending homelessness for the people they work with.
