The Revd Katherine Hedderly preaching from the pulpit on Maundy Thursday

By: The Revd Katherine Hedderly

Listen to Podcast

“Perhaps our celebration of Epiphany, of the revelation of Christ’s light and love among us, to the visiting magi or wise men, in Bethlehem 2000 years ago, can help reveal to us where God is with us now, in Bethlehem today for those children and their families, with the people of South Sudan struggling to overcome ethnic conflict and broker peace, in our own experiences of fear and division?  What can these wise men reveal to us about how to live out of these situations with the assurance that truly God is with us and can speak to the walls in our own lives?”

In this sermon, Revd Katherine Hedderly considers the ‘Bethlehem Unwrapped‘ festival at neighbouring St James’ Piccadilly to ask how we might share the revelation of God’s love which is celebrated at Epiphany.
