Today/Marketplace Sunday and Annual Review of Activities/11.30am, Parish Hall and Lightwell. Today we will be hosting our annual Marketplace event, which is a great opportunity to learn more about the huge breadth of activities and groups that make up our shared life at St Martin’s and sign up to get involved! We will be launching the printed Annual Review, bringing together all of the highlights from the last 12 months. Copies are available from the stewards in church after the service for a suggested donation of £3.

This Week/Support our St Martin-in-the-Fields Choir. The Choir of St Martin-in-the-Fields are travelling to South Africa in September for a ten-day tour of exciting choral collaboration in support of an important new project to help disadvantaged young South Africans gain access to higher education. They will sing alongside the choirs of the Cathedral Church of St Mary the Virgin in central Johannesburg, the famous Holy Cross Church in Soweto, and St John’s Anglican College and the University of Johannesburg. This Week/Welcome at London Open House/Saturday 22 September. If you would enjoy welcoming visitors to St Martin’s in a relaxed setting, and have two hours to spare between 9.30am and 3.30pm, then this is for you. It is being hosted by the Friends of St Martin’s but you don’t have to be a member in order to volunteer. There will be a Church tour at 12pm and bell ringing demonstrations at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Next Week/Meeting of artists & craftspeoples’ group/Sunday 23 September, 12 noon, Tutu Room. All are welcome to attend a meeting to plan further artistic contributions to the St Martin’s community.

This Month/Drawing Club, Sunday 30 September, 12–2pm, Glass Box. Each month for two hours the drawing club will meet and draw together. The aim of this group is to encourage and practice together. Materials, objects to draw and step-by-step help for those beginners who would like it are all provided. So, no previous experience is necessary and all are welcome.

Sunday Refreshments and Mug Ministry/We would very much like more help from the congregation to join a team serving tea, coffee and biscuits, and providing hospitality after our 10am service on Sundays. It is the day the church celebrates St Francis of Assisi so we will be enjoying a Eucharist, harvest supper and discussion about how we care for creation. All are welcome.
