Today/A Jazz Celebration for Pentecost We are delighted to host the live BBC 1 worship broadcast today, as we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit to the church through the wonderful diversity of the St Martin’s community. Please follow the instructions about the service that the BBC will be giving and those on the inside of your service sheet, including arrangements for Communion. Today’s collection will be a retiring collection, including the collection for Christian Aid. Our preacher is the Rt Revd Sarah Mullally, the new Bishop of London. The service is led by Revd Dr Sam Wells, with the combined choirs of St Martin’s and the Will Todd Ensemble, directed by Andrew Earis. Please be seated in church by 9.30am.

Today marks the end of Christian Aid Week. Christian Aid tackles the root causes of poverty so that women, men and children the world over are strengthened against future knocks. This year they want to build homes that will last and help families, like those in Haiti facing regular hurricanes, to weather future storms. Please give generously. Envelopes are available for the retiring collection once the live broadcast has ended.
