This Week/Bread for the World/Wednesday 3 July, 6.30pm. Our Associate Vicar for Ministry will be speaking on how to talk about God without losing friends.

Lambeth Palace Gardens Open Day/Friday 5 July, 12-3pm. Michael Angus is the Director of Barons Court Project, a day centre for people who are homeless or living with mental health issues. Entrance is £5 and lunch will be available to buy, with all proceeds to Barons Court Project. Entertainment is provided.

Pride 2019. LGBT+ Christians and allies are invited to take part in our activities with Pride in London this year on 6 July. Morning Prayer 9am followed by a commissioning. LGBT+ members are invited to march with http://www.christiansatpride.com/ and allies are invited to support in activities from the sidelines. Our Associate Vicars for Mission and Ministry are offering prayers and blessings for passers-by throughout the afternoon next to the church.

Theology Group/Sunday 7 July, 12-1pm, Austen Williams Room. There will be an opportunity to reflect theologically on issues of on justice and what it means to act justly with our Vicar, Revd Dr Sam Wells. All are welcome. Subsequent upcoming date: 28 July.

Summer Pattern of Services/from 8 July. Bread for the World is continuing through the summer at 6.30pm on Wednesday with a soloist but the supper and groups will take a break in August, resuming on 11 September. Until the end of August, Mondays at 4.30pm will be a service of Evening Prayer in the DSC (except 15 July when a visiting choir will sing Evensong in Church). Our Wednesday 1pm Eucharist will be a said service. Sacred Space takes a break in August and resumes on Sunday 1 September at 7pm.

Parish Away Day: What is Church?/Saturday 13 July. This exciting day at the beautiful Focolare Centre in Welwyn Garden City with all our clergy team and visiting speakers explores what church is and what it is that makes a church deepen and flourish. Meditation Group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6.30pm in the Dick Sheppard Chapel. All are welcome.

Inclusive Church AGM and Annual Lecture/Tuesday 9 July, 7pm, Southwark Cathedral. St Martin’s has worked with Inclusive Church since 1998, and this year our Vicar is giving the annual lecture – ‘Citizens of Heaven: Identity, Inclusion and the Church’. All are welcome – you don’t have to register but it really helps if you do! Great Sacred Choral Classics: Faith, Hope and Love – Love/Monday 15 July, 6.30pm. Join St Martin’s Chorus directed by Emily Dickens and led by our Vicar in a free hour-long exploration of Love, including Tallis If ye love me and Gjeilo Ubi caritas. All are welcome. A retiring collection is taken to support the work of St Martin-in-the-Fields.
