Church Life in Tier 2
We are thrilled to be able to open our doors for public worship again. As before: please wear a face covering at all times inside church; maintain 2m distancing; sign in using Track and Trace; make regular use of the hand sanitiser provided; and when possible print your order of service at home or have it on your phone. You can always still join us for live-stream services on Facebook. The church is open for Private Prayer – Wednesday 12-2pm.

New Eco Church Group. As you may know, moves are under way to promote Eco Church. This seeks to crystalise a church response to the climate emergency. An Eco Church Group – ECG is being formed to undertake this work. Please consider whether you would like to contribute to this group. If this idea appeals to you then please contact Steve Adams at steveadamsfinchley@gmail.com

Faith Companions. As we are journeying through winter, now is a great time to reignite your faith companions’ group and show that in St Martin’s no one need face life alone. The faith companions are groups of 3-4 congregation members of all ages and backgrounds who commit to making contact with each other once a week through the pandemic. If you are not in a faith companions group and would like to be please contact sian.conway@smitf.org

New Stewards – We Need You! Are you a member of St Martin’s congregation that regularly attends worship? Can you spare some time to support one of our church services over the Advent and Christmas season? Please email Kristine Wellington (kristinewellington@gmail.com) or Helen Riley (hm.riley@gmail.com) if you are able to steward in the building, and Ellie Waterhouse (ellie.waterhouse@smitf.org) if you are able to steward online from home.

Chinese Church’s Virtual Christmas Market. Although we cannot have a big Christmas celebration like we used to, with our endless laughter and delicious homemade potluck dinner, it will not stop us from being passionate about celebrating Christ’s birth!

Therefore the idea of a Virtual Christmas Market is born! We will set up virtual ‘stalls’, every ‘owner’ has devoted their time and ability to offer something that members can ‘purchase’ in the form of donations to the church. The stalls covers a range of ‘things’ like homemade delicacies, or ‘non-things’ like a chance to play virtual games together, or leisure classes. They really are beyond your imagination! For more information, please contact Harry (harry.ching@smitf.org) or Yen Leung (ccc4yen@gmail.com).
